Oh My Gosh. It feels like I haven't updated in months, when in reality it's only been about a week! Anyway, Here is my birthday mani! My birthday is actually tomorrow, the 8th, but I thought I'd go ahead and post this today. Candles and glitter, such a good combination.
This has a total of 18 candles because tomorrow I'll be 18!
Get ready for a long list of colors
The glitter is Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy
The black and white I used are generic ebay stripers
The blue and purple are from a Color Club set that I got at Ross, the set was called All About Color but I think it was labeled wrong and unfortunately the colors don't have names
The yellow is Zoya Pippa
The pink is Kleancolor Barbie Pink
The green is Kleancolor Bikini Green
Annnnnd I think that covers all of the colors I used. Whew...

Sugar Plum Fairy
Since I've been getting so frustrated, I decided I'd just use my favorite glitter, Color Club Sugar Plum Fairy. It's a multicolored holo glitter. It's pretty amazing looking. That's why I included a ton of pictures with different angles to show the amazingness.
This was about 2.5 coats. I say 2.5 because I did two coats and then fixed parts that looked like they had nail showing.

English Rose
This is my first successful attempt at nail foils. I got my order from dollarnailart.com a few weeks ago and I immediately tried out some of the foils. My first few tries turned out really bad. I then found out that most top coats over the metallic foils completely wrinkle them. I was a little more than disappointed and kinda gave up on them for about 2 weeks.
So, yesterday I was just messing around again and I used English Rose. A foil that I hadn't tried out yet on my nails. It's not metallic like most of the other foils that I got so I did put a top coat on it and it worked!
I'm really happy with how this came out. I'll admit that I keep admiring them. They are just too pretty not to!

English Rose is a very sheer, shimmery white with pinkish colored flowers. I put this over two coats of a white, Essie Blanc. My ring finger is OPI Teenage Dream from the Katy Perry collection that came out a while ago.

Sexy Serpent
I've wanted to try doing some snakeskin nails for a while now, but I honestly never imagined they would come out this good on the first try. I was just going to play around with some lace from some old clothes and I thought that I'd just end up taking it off. Now I really wish I would've taken pictures so I could post a tutorial.
For this I used
- Essie Blanc
- Essie Sew Psyched
- Essie As Gold As It Gets
- Essence Nude It!
- Essence High Spirits
- Essence Black is Black
- Essence Gold Rush
- Kleancolor Cappuccino
- Fresh Paint Oatmeal
- China Glaze Luxe and Lush
I tried to stay with more earthy nudes and greens and brown shades.
What You Need
- A small piece of Mesh/Lace
- A Sponge
- Small brush
Here's how I did it
- I started with one thick coat of white on all of my nails and let it dry completely.
- Take the lace and lay it on the nail. Try not to move it while dabbing the colors.
- With some tweezers and a small chunk of makeup sponge and started dabbing the lightest nude color I am using.
- With a brown or darker nude color I tried to make some lines or diamonds with a small brush that resembled patterns on a snake.
- Now I took the greens I had and randomly dabbed them in the more empty spaces.
- Just before I took off the lace, I took a tiny amount of black on my brush and went over the parts with the brown to make them stick out more.
- Now, slowly pull the lace upwards. It might stick just a little bit but that's okay, I just slightly pushed it back down with my finger.
- I took a sheer champagne color and dabbed a small amount around the nail not covering it all the way. This is optional.
- I then took As Gold As It Gets and did a coat of that and then a coat of Luxe and Lush. It gives it a scaly and almost wet look.
- Two coats of top coat and you're done!

My First Post!
Hey everyone! Wow my first post on my new blog! So I've decided that I'm going to start posting all of my nail art here and I'll start with this one I did about a month ago. This is a gradient I did using Essence A Lovely Secret and Essence You Belong To Me with MAC 3D silver on my ring finger.
I did this by using one of the triangle makeup sponges that you can buy almost anywhere. I always wet the sponge first and then squeeze out most of the water, leaving it slightly damp. Then I put the color that I want closer to my cuticle on just like I normally would do my nails but I stop in the middle and finish with the blue on my tips. they after I've done that to all of my fingers, I paint some of the blue onto the sponge and try to dab the colors together. If I need more purple, I dab more purple. Then I finish with a top coat and let it dry. :)
