Daft Nails!

Do you guys like Daft Punk? I do, and If you're like me and you've been waiting for this album for 7 years you're probably excited too.  I did these nails because their new album, Random Access Memories, came out today. I've been listening to the leak for about a week and I think it's pretty awesome!

For these nails I started with two coats of a regular black, I used Essence Black is Back, on each finger.  For the logo on my thumb, I used white acrylic paint. The glitters on my index and middle fingers are Thomas and Guy-Manuel from Daring Digits Daft Punk set that I don't think is available anymore. Thomas (on my index finger) is a silver shimmer with silver hexagons, large red squares, and small black and red squares. Guy-Manuel is a gold base with multicolored square glitters and gold hexagons.

The glitter on my ring and index fingers is just some loose black glitter that I poured over a coat of wet black polish. I used that because I think it looks like those really cool YSL sequin suits that they're wearing now.

I used two coats of top coat on these just to be sure that everything was nice and smooth.

Hard Candy Black Tie Optional

The Walmart near my house finally carries these Hard Candy nail colors so I picked up Black Tie Optional  the last time I was there. This color is freaking awesome. I love it soooo much. This polish has all different sizes of hexagon glitters in black and white and black bar glitters.

I did one coat of this over Ciaté Big Yellow Taxi. I did use two coats of top coat over this because I didn't want the bar glitters to poke out and snag on things like they normally do. I feel like this glitter could work over almost anything. You could put this over poop and it would look nice.

This was a bit difficult to remove, but it's glitter so I kind of expected that.

OPI Liquid Sand The Impossible

Hey guys! I have really been slacking on posting and I'm sorry about that. Here is one of the OPI Liquid Sand nail colors from the Mariah Carey collection. This one is The Impossible, it's a jelly based, bright reddish hot pink with lots of glitter and stars.

I needed three coats for this to be completely even, but I didn't mind because there's no need for a top coat with these nail colors if you want to keep the sandy texture. The texture of these actually wasn't as rough as I'd imagined either and this nail polish was surprisingly easy to get off.

I went crazy with these Born Pretty Store Studs!

Hey guys! Do you like studs? I know I do and today I have a review of this awesome nail wheel filled with studs from Born Pretty Store. This wheel has 12 different styles of studs in gold, silver, and black. As you can see here, I went a little stud crazy...

This set has a ton of different shapes including hearts, stars, small dots, medium dots, circles, squares, teardrops, and ovals. Some of these are in both silver and gold and there are even some black dots.
The only two in this set I had trouble with were the hearts and the stars. They're usable, but they're too big for any nails but my thumbs. Other than that, these are easy to use and they're aluminum plated so thy could be reused if you want them to be.

I didn't count these, but there are enough studs here to do a lot of different things. The website says that this has approximately 300 all together.

For my nails I stuck with only the gold studs and placed them over Essie Turquoise & Caicos. I wasn't really following any pattern, I just placed them where I thought they looked good.

I used an orange wood stick dipped in a tiny amount of clear polish to pick these up and place them. I finished this off with a thin amount of top coat over the studs to avoid any bubbles.

Hard Candy Gummy Green

Hey guys! I'm sure you've been hearing about those big Hard Candy nail polish displays at some Walmart stores. Only some Walmart stores have these displays and the one closest to my house didn't, but my awesome cousin picked this up for me at hers (thanks Michelle!)

This color is a true turquoise blue with tons of teeny tiny black and silver (they look white because they're in a pigmented base) hex glitters. When I first opened the bottle I really thought this was going to be a nightmare to apply, much to my surprise the formula was good! I only had to use two coats for complete opacity, this went on smooth and I only needed one coat of top coat!

Spring Gradient

Hey guys!  Here is are some gradient nails that I did that I think look really pretty for spring!

I used two Essie colors, but I don't know the name of them because the labels are missing. I do think that the pink/coral one close to my cuticles is California Coral, though.  I did this gradient starting with two coats of the color that I think is called California Coral and then I used a damp makeup sponge to dab the other color about halfway down each nail.

And I don't know if you can tell, but I changed my lighting set up around a little bit before I took these pictures and they came out looking really good besides the fact that the light made my hands look so white! haha

Pastel Plaid

Here are the nails that I'll probably still have on for Easter, Pastel Plaid! Yep, I took the easy way out and just did some stripes, but it still really like these.

For these nails I started with a base of Shallow from Colour Gossip. I used the longest striper that I have for these. I started with the yellow, Sinful Colors Unicorn. The pink stripes are OPI Pink Friday, the purple stripes are Sinful Colors Candy Coated. Last but not least, the blue stripes are Sinful Colors Sugar Rush. I used two coats of top coat on these so they wouldn't feel lumpy.

I hope you guys have a happy Easter!
